In 2002, when Jerry and I were embarking upon the Maiden Voyage of Old Pal, one of our staunchest supporters was Norman Mollard. Mr. Mollard was the President of the Museum Board and from among that group, was pretty much the ONLY supporter. So, as you see, we owe a deep gratitude to him and his wife Jean. Mr. Mollard, who was a World War II Ace Fighter Pilot and who was in the Astronaut Program with John Glenn, passed away several years ago. His wife, Jean, owns and operates the lovely Redlands Hotel in downtown Palestine. She and Mr. Mollard were beginning their work on this beautiful, historic building the same year that Old Pal began.
